Milton Keynes Council to spend £4.2m on revamping housing stock - that's £383 per home
Milton Keynes Council has agreed to spend £4,222,374 on improving its stock of council houses and sheltered housing schemes.
Some £1.2m will be spent on improving heating systems, while £1.5m will go on upgrading communal areas in general.

Hide AdFire safety will also be improved in Bletchley’s Mellish court flats to the tune of £212,000, and £810,000 will be spent on bettering balconies in West Bletchley.
Cabinet leader for housing, Councillor Nigel Long said: “We seek to serve all areas. We will continue to invest in improving standards.”
Milton Keynes Council owns 11,000 homes. If the cash were to be distributed evenly, it would work out at £383 per home.
