MILTON Keynes Council will be passing on the Government’s 10 per cent benefit tax cut.
The move, which was publicly announced yesterday (Thursday), will be bought in from April 1.
The council agreed to support the Government at a meeting in December.
The authority will also be the doubling its discretionary fund to £500,000 in order to support the exemption of war prisoners and allow additional provisions for groups like the disabled.
A council spokesman said the authority will be making a full press statement on Monday.
