The developer behind Wolverton Park and Brooklands – two of Milton Keynes’ most recognised and awarded schemes - has been voted Housebuilder of the Year athte 2013 Building Awards.
Places for People beat stiff competition from other housebuilders to land the coveted prize.
The judges, made up of property industry experts, praised the quality and design of Places for People’s homes and noted that they make a long-term commitment and investment in places from the outset which means that new residents will not be moving onto a building site.
David Shaw, Group Director of Development at Places for People said: “These are highly regarded awards in the property industry and to be named by our peers as the nation’s best housebuilder is a credit to all those involved, and something we are extremely proud of.
“Whether we are involved in the regeneration of an existing area or the development of a new community, our focus is on the continued success of the places we create. This long-term commitment and investment is what sets us apart from other developers.
“We are delighted that our approach has been recognised by so many influential people in the industry.”
