Firefighters from around Milton Keynes have had a busy few days of call outs. Aside from Saturday’s yard blaze in Fenny Stratford, incidents attended included a narrowboat rescue, and two collisions.

Bletchey-based firefighters were called in to give assistance to the South Central Ambulance Service late on Saturday night.

They helped to move a female casualty from a narrowboat on the Grand Union Canal, off Leighton Road in Stoke Hammond.

And on Sunday morning firefighters from Broughton, Bletchley and Newport Pagnell made the scene safe after a collision involving a car, on the roundabout at the junction of A509 and M1 northbound at Broughton, Milton Keynes.

In the early hours of Monday morning, crews from Bletchley and Broughton were called to a car fire following a collision with an HGV.

The incident occured on the M1 northbound, junction 13 (Woburn) to junction 14 Milton Keynes.

Crews were also called in to deal with a fire on the historic Bury Field in Newport Pagnell, which affected a large space on Saturday afternoon.
