A lightning bolt that hit a two-storey building in Milton Keynes evacuated residents from their homes.

The block of flats, Hauksbee Gardens in Shenley Lodge was cordoned off after the strike of lightning and firefighters removed debris from the site.

Two fire crews from Great Holm and Bletchley attended the scene around yesterday (August 27) afternoon.
