A single-mum of six says her children’s Christmas has been “destroyed” after callous thieves stole £1,000 worth of presents from her garage.
Holly Harris, 30, started her Xmas shopping back in August buying designer clothes, One Direction merchandise and special needs toys for her disabled daughter.
But all the presents were stolen in the early hours of Sunday – leaving two cupboards bare in the garage of her terraced-home in Walsh’s Manor, Stantonbury.
“I just fell to the floor,” said Holly, when her son ran into the house crying that the gifts were gone.
“I’d started shopping early because with six kids you have to spread the cost out.
“Now there is nothing to show for it. They have taken everything and destroyed my kids’ Christmas.”
The stay-at-home mum believes the burglars picked the garage lock to barge their way in.
Her neighbour said she saw two youths running down the road carrying lots of bags in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Holly added: “We were all in bed at the time. It’s horrible just thinking about it.
“My sister-in-law has started contacting toy stores to see if they will donate anything because I don’t know how I’m going to replace what we have lost.”
The theft has been reported to police with officers from Thames Valley Police investigating the burglary. Anyone with information is asked to call the 101 number.
