A Milton Keynes police officer failed to properly log in stolen goods – only for them to be discovered later in his locker, it has been alleged.

PC Phakey is this week the subject of a two-day misconduct hearing.

If the allegations are proved he could be dismissed, or even prosecuted, for gross misconduct.

It is claimed the PC Phakey was in charge of an investigation into shoplifting and failed to bag up all the exhibits and book them into the police property store.

A month later two sergeants searched his locker at MK police station and found some of the seized property, states the hearing report.

“It is alleged that PC Phakey failed to act with honesty and integrity,” it adds.

The hearing is due to conclude today (Thursday).
