Milton Keynes nominees for the MP’s Rock the House contest have been selected and are ready to do battle.
The artists selected by MP’s Mark Lancaster and Iain Stewart will go forward to the next stage, with the ultimate winners playing in parliament for high profile music legends such as Brian May and Rick Wakeman.
In addition, they have the opportunity to win an array of prizes including equipment, secured festival slots and the all-important recording sessions.
Martin Wakley, Director of Milton Keynes Music and owner of Buskers in Wolverton co-ordinated the entries and kindly offered his premises to hold the presentation evening.
The artists representing Milton Keynes are, Rise Bailey Rise, Ali in the Jungle, Black, Martis, Rich Hopkins and All Tied Up.
Both Mark and Iain commented that they were delighted with the response to the competition and wait anxiously to see whether the talent in MK will be recognised and given the opportunity to shine.
