A Milton Keynes teenager is helping to recognise the best services for children and young people across the UK.
18-year-old Elizabeth Beale, who is a member of the UK Youth Parliament and former chair of the MK Youth Cabinet, was one of 12 judges 420 entries across 21 categories in the annual Children and Young People Now Awards.
The awards highlight and share best practice across a wide range of services supporting children and young people, and show how organisations have supported them to reach their full potential.
Elizabeth said: “I was honoured to be asked to contribute to the Children and Young People Now Awards. There were so many great entries. It was a tough challenge, but fascinating to see and read about the amazing things that local authorities and organisations are doing to improve the lives of children and young people.”
