The event that saved Christmas for thousands of city children will return this year, it has been announced today.

Inspired by a team of parents after Winter Wonderland in Campbell Park closed after just one day, Mini Wonderland MK was created - and it’s back for another festive celebration.

The organisers of the non for profit group are aiming for bigger and better things despite last year’s great success, which took just five days to plan.

Opening it up to all families that wish to attend, Mini Wonderland MK will be held at The New Park, Wolverton Town Sports & Social Club.

There will there be a chance to meet Santa and his elves in his sparkly grotto to receive gifts at only £3 per child.

And at set times throughout the day and for a cheaper cost there will be chance to have story time with Santa in a group setting.

Photographers will be present throughout the event to take photos of children and their families enjoying the wonder.

Food and drink will be available at the venue as well as festive stalls providing a range of local products and activities to be involved in.

Bouncy castles, entertainers and face painters have already been set in place, with the promise of snow machines, Reindeer and live entertainment to follow.

Winter Wonderland was investigated by trading standards after last year’s unexpected closure when visitors complained about the Santas, ice rink and reindeers.
