YOUNGSTERS at The Walnuts School will benefit from a brand new minibus from the Lord’s Taverners.

Former BBC weatherman Bill Giles handed over the keys to staff and pupils at the community residential special school in Hazeley last Friday.

The school caters for 131 students aged 4-19 with autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs).

The 17-seat Lord’s Taverners minibus will give them better access to the community and help them enjoy new places.

Costing £33,000, the new minibus is possible thanks to the fundraising efforts of Janice Evans, a long-term supporter of the cricket charity, and is being donated in memory of her late husband, former Conservative MP David Evans.
