A delighted bride and groom have seen their wedding photographs for the first time – six YEARS after their big day.
The Citizen reported last week how Charlotte and David Oliver paid a professional photographer £2,500, only to be devastated when he “vanished off the face of the earth” – complete with their unseen pictures.
We managed to contact former Olney wedding specialist Royce Yeacoob through relatives in Germany, where he now lives.
This week a German-postmarked package arrived at the Citizen offices.
Inside was a computer hard drive containing hundreds of beautiful pictures.
“Words can’t describe how happy I am to have my wedding photos at last,” said Charlotte.
“The pictures are amazing. It’s so wonderful at last to have these reminders of the best day of my life.”
She and Dave only had a few snapshots guests had taken at their wedding – and most of them had Royce in the shot.
They had tried numerous times to trace Royce over the years, even calling Kodak, which once presented him with their prestigious photographer of the year award.
Eventually Charlotte launched a Facebook appeal on Valentine’s Day last month.
It prompted a massive response from sympathisers – one of whom gave details of Royce’s current whereabouts.
Charlotte added: “Seeing your wedding photos for the first time six years after the big day is absolutely wonderful – but weird in a way. There are pictures of babies at the wedding and they’re now six-year-olds!”
