On Thursday 21 May, employees and residents in Central Milton Keynes will gather for the second ‘Love Where You Live’ Spring Clean of 2015.

Meeting at 12pm at McDonalds Xscape, employees and residents are invited to join a designated route involving litter picking and street furniture painting to improve the Central Milton Keynes landscape.

This is the second in a series of planned spring cleans in association with Keep Britain Tidy’s ‘Love Where You Live’ campaign.

Employees and residents who join in with activities will be provided with complimentary drinks from McDonalds.

In collaboration with McDonalds, MK Council and Serco, a two hour drop in event has been planned allowing members of staff to join in on their lunch breaks.  Organised groups will leave Xscape and travel to designated points across Central Milton Keynes to tackle either litter picking hot spots or street furniture painting. Once back at Xscape, all litter bags and equipment will be safely removed.

Refreshments will be served at McDonalds just before 2pm.

Rob Harriman, MKCCM’s Street Warden said: “We’re hoping for a strong turn out for the activities on Thursday 21 May.  “We were delighted that the last event attracted over 60 volunteers with over 30 bags of rubbish collected in less than two hours. We hope to offer those involved a rewarding and enjoyable lunch break.”
