Mobile phone stolen in redway robbery

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man had his mobile phone stolen close to Milton Keynes Central train station.

Between 4pm and 4.30pm on Saturday, a 23-year-old man was walking from Loughton, along the Redway which leads over the A5, towards the railway station, when he was approached by a man who asked to borrow his mobile phone.

The offender then grabbed the phone and ran off.

The offender is white, in his twenties, around 5ft 8ins, well built with short brown hair and a very finely trimmed brown goatee beard. He had scars on the back of his scalp and was wearing a white top, dark jeans and black Nike trainers.

He spoke with a northern accent.

The stolen phone was a white iPhone 4 in a black case.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the offence, recognises the description of the offender, or who saw the offender in the area around the time of the incident.
