THREE schools across the city have taken the decision to close after snow covered the city this morning.

Snow started in Milton Keynes yesterday afternoon and continued throughout the night leaving many areas with as much as four to five inches of snow.

This morning, Romans Field School and MK PRU (Pupil Referal Unit), both based on the same site in Shenley Road, Bletchley were shut due to poor weather and transport problems for staff and pupils.

Elsewhere, Slated Row School in Old Wolverton Road in Wolverton closed its doors due to slippy side roads with snow forecast for the rest of the day.
