A motorcyclist was taken to hospital yesterday after he suffered serious injuries following a collision with a car.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place at about 5.10pm yesterday when a Kawasaki Z100 motorcycle and a blue Fiat Stilo collided on the Tongwell roundabout, between Michigan Drive and the Willen Road turning.

The motorcyclist, a 43-year-old man from Newport Pagnell, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Milton Keynes Hospital for treatment.

Investigating officer PC Ian Leyland, of the Roads Policing Department based in Milton Keynes, said: “We believe it was quite busy in the area of the Tongwell roundabout at the time of the collision so would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident to come forward.”

Any witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
