MP Mark Lancaster really got into the swing of things to help promote a new city energy club.
Mr Lancaster was handing over funds from the cabinet office to Sports Leaders UK who will be setting up a new school initiative Energy Club with the funds.
Schoolchildren from the Grove Independent School gave a demonstration of an Energy Club session to guests and Mr Lancaster got involved himself, showing off his skills with a hula hoop.
The energy clubs are aimed at young people aged between four and 11 with volunteers starting from age 16.
Energy Club will recruit, train and support a new community of enthusiastic volunteers to give help in primary schools across Milton Keynes.
The overall aim is to reduce childhood obesity by encouraging children to take part in pre and post-school physical activity clubs at primary schools throughout the city.
