MP Iain Stewart got on board with two city charities at a special Train Day.
Mr Stewart, who serves Milton Keynes South, joined people from Carers MK and Social Eyes as they held a special event for families who have a child with a disability or additional need.
Representatives from the Parent and Carers Alliance were also there on the day and they provided funding to enabled the launch of a special train coach to accommodate a wheelchair.
Anne Matthews from Carers MK said: “The attraction of the event is that families in a similar situation can meet and socialise together without feeling uncomfortable, as they have an understanding of each other’s caring situation.”
Mr Stewart said: “It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon with carers and their families. Events like these are really beneficial and I was happy to be part of it.”
