MP IAIN Stewart went back in time at the weekend at an event that helped raise £3,400 for the restoration of a village church tower.

Organised by ASTRA, a charity set up to raise money for the restoration of All Saints Tower in Bow Brickhill, the ‘Timeline’ event saw various characters depicting the heritage of the village.

Mr Stewart, MP for MK South, has been supporting the charity and residents in their appeal which raised £3,400 on the day.

He said: “The ‘Timeline’ event in Bow Brickhill was great fun and hugely successful in raising funds to restore the church tower.

“The whole village joined in and there was a fantastic atmosphere. Not many MPs could claim to have met Queen Victoria, Lord Nelson, and Robin Hood all in the space of an afternoon.”
