MP Iain Stewart is urging people to check out the 50 ways in which they can be a part of the London 2012 Olympics.

Whether it’s holding an Opening Night In and inviting family and friends round to watch the Opening Ceremony on TV, sending a message of support to Britain’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes or lining the streets to cheer on Torchbearers as they carry the Flame, people across the country are coming together to join in and get involved in the Games in their own special way.

Mr Stewart said: “As we reach the final straight to the Games, it’s time for everybody to start thinking how they can play their part and celebrate what is going to be an incredible summer.”

“The list of 50 ways to get involved has some great ideas. There is something in it for everyone, from making Flame hats and shakers in school to the Join In App for mobile phones.”

“I am urging everyone to join in with the celebrations this summer and make the most of this once in a lifetime opportunity,” he added.
