City MPs Mark Lancaster and Iain Stewart are trying to encourage people to take part in the Sport Relief Mile.

The MP’s for Milton Keynes have taken part in the “Westminster Mile” which saw 40 MP’s and Lords and Ladies run a mile around St James Park in London.

The “Westminster Mile” was organised by Sport Relief in order to raise awareness of the Sport Relief Mile which is being held all around the country on March 25.

Milton Keynes will again host the mile which will see runners go around the city in support of the charity.

Mark Lancaster said “Sport Relief is a fantastic charity and I am looking forward to taking part in the run on the 25th March. I would like to encourage as many people as possible to join in to try and raise money.”

Iain Stewart added: “Many people often forget that funds raised through Sport Relief is also used to help people in difficult circumstances within the UK. I enjoyed running the Westminster Mile on a day when the weather was glorious. It’s a fun and healthy way to raise money to change lives positively and I would encourage everyone to play a part.”
