Mr and Mrs Pound eat for just £1 at Milton Keynes pub

To celebrate the arrival of the new 12-sided £1 coin next week the team at the Anchor at Aspley Guise is offering anyone with the surname Pound the chance to dine at the pub for just £1.

People with the money-related name will be able to claim a main course and drink of their choice for themselves and a guest for just £1 for either lunch and dinner next Tuesday, (March 28).

This is the day the new £1 coin comes into circulation.

There will also be a free drink of their choice for the first customer to pay at the pub’s bar on March 28 using a new £1 coin, which is replacing the round pound introduced in Britain more than 30 years ago.
