A NEW café is opening on Sundays in Campbell Park.
Visitors to the park will now be able to enhance their walk, cycle ride or family day out by enjoying a relaxing cup of tea, a homemade cake or tasty treat. The cafe will open for the first time on Sunday, April 1. It will then open on subsequent Sundays between 12noon and 4.30pm.
It will be run by Annie Reeves and Mo Williams and will offer a menu of wholesome homemade cakes and light refreshments.
Based at the Cricket Pavilion in Campbell Park, off Silbury Boulevard, the café looks across the cricket green and the beautiful formal landscaping of the ponds and city gardens within the park.
It will be open throughout Spring and Summer. Parking at the Pavilion is free.
Annie and Mo said: “We’ve visited the park many times over the years and always thought that it would be a great opportunity to run a café in the park. We love to bake and believe that our homemade cakes and freshly made sandwiches will attract a regular following of visitors to the park.”
Head of Community Engagement at The Parks Trust, Briony Serginson, said: “Sunday afternoons are a great time to get together with the family and spend some quality time together in the parks. Being able to enjoy a cake and cuppa is a great way to round off your visit.”
