MORE than 1,900 people in Milton Keynes could be suffering from undiagnosed Alzheimer’s Disease by 2021.

A new partnership launched on Wednesday between Tesco, the Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer Scotland has for the first time mapped the state of dementia and diagnosis levels in the UK and announced bold plans to help fight the disease.

Frank Wagstaff from Milton Keynes cared for his wife for Joan for 12 years. He said: “We were worried about Joan’s memory for ages and she feared going to her GP about it but it was the best thing we could have done.

“Joan then had access to the support and treatment she needed to live independently and the support and advice from Alzheimer’s Society was invaluable.”
