THE wonderfully talented Connie Fisher is back on the MK Theatre stage from Tuesday, taking the lead in the Tony Award winning smash musical, Wonderful Town.
Connie takes the role of Ruth Sherwood, aspiring writer, who arrives in the Big Apple from Ohio with her stunning, younger sister Eileen.
With dreams of romance, riches and just maybe a free lunch at Walgreen’s deli, the pair meet all manner of colourful characters as they go on the search for the success they crave.
Recreating the bright lights of 1930s NYC with a fantastic score by Bernstein, Wonderful Town is simply sensational viewing.
Joining Connie for the vibrant show is double Olivier Award nominee Michael Xavier – who has himself dazzled in major productions of Love Story and The Phantom of the Opera (which itself arrives in MK this Autumn, remember).
Wonderful Town is with us for just five days, and promises all the buzz of the bright lights in the big city.
