PEOPLE living in Milton Keynes are happy, according to a survey from the NHS.

Figures revealed the NHS spent £270 million on antidepressants last year, a huge increase of £1 million a week from 2010.

Milton Keynes rated as fifth lowest of areas outside of London with 611 prescriptions given out per 1,000 people. Buckinghamshire also ranked as a happier area, seventh on the list with 633 prescriptions per 1,000 people.

Lowest overall was Brent Teaching with just 347 prescriptions but it wasn’t such good news for Blackpool who scored an astounding 1,430 prescriptions per 1,000 people.
