NO staff were injured during this morning’s armed robbery at Fraser Hart in thecentre:mk.

A spokesman for the shopping centre said the raid had taken place at 10.16am at the store on Silbury Arcade.

Three people smashed the windows from within the store and removed items from the Rolex watch display.

No staff were injured during the raid and internal store security of smoke screens and shutters activated ensured that further loss was not sustained and customers were safe guarded.

Police were called immediately, but the robbers managed to escape.

The police are now reviewing all available evidence and the centre remains trading as usual.

The raid followed a similar robbery at Brent Cross last month.

Jewellery stores at thecentre:mk had taken advice from the British Council of Shopping Centres following that raid and had reduced the stock on display.
