A would-be runaway pony got itself trapped after making a run - and jump - for it over a stable door.
The “renowned jumper” took a leap of faith this morning, but was left stuck in a compromising position with his back legs still stuck in his stable.
Fiona Gifkins, owner of Milton Keynes Equestrian Centre where the animal was staying with the Pony Club Camp, thanked the firefighters who came to the rescue.
She said: “The pony was rather too eager to get the day started, so decided to come and get breakfast itself this morning.
“He is absolutely fine now and out enjoying himself in the field.”
The pony was sedated by a vet at the Hanslope centre before being released using hydraulic rescue equipment by firefighters from Great Holm, who said the rescue was neigh bother.
