Residents and staff from a nursing home received VIP treatment from players of Milton Keynes Rugby Union Football Club at last week’s home game.

PJ Care, who are platinum sponsors of MKRUFC, recently rebranded and some of the players surprised PJ Care residents by giving them with their own VIP area in the clubhouse, personal rugby shirts and also presented them with this season’s new shirts, complete with PJ Care’s new logo.

The residents, many of whom have complex neurological conditions, were delighted to see the team members and enjoyed watching the game.

Paul Moran, PJ Care’s CEO, said “PJ Care celebrated its 10th birthday this year and we felt that now was a good time to change our logo to one that truly represented our values and the specialist work that we do. Several of our residents are MKRUFC fans and this has been a real treat for them. We wanted to celebrate the change in our logo by doing something that would include our residents and today has really achieved this.

“PJ Care specialise in neuro-rehabilitation and caring for younger adults with neurological illnesses and brain injuries and visits to MKRUFC can make a real difference to their day.”

Andrew Flowers, from MKRUFC, said: “Milton Keynes Rugby Club have a long relationship with PJ Care and we are grateful for their continuing support, our players take great pleasure in assisting with the fantastic work PJ Care do for the people they look after.”
