THE producers of the city’s popular online soap called Haddon Street have been shortlisted for screening at a prestigious short film festival.
The team’s latest film is called Olympic Special and will be shown in the competitive screening section of the Short Cuts Film Fest on May 12.
It is produced entirely by adults with learning difficulties from MacIntyre’s Lifelong Learning service based at Haddon in Great Holm.
The story is a comedic look at two of Haddon Street soap characters and their attempts to get into the 2012 Olympic Games.
Head of services Louise Taylor said: “We’re very proud of them. They are talented people, passionate about what they do and are fantastic ambassadors for MacIntyre.”
