Have your say

SOME would say that we have yet to see any summertime, but this weekend, Hula Animal Sanctuary are hosting their Summer’s End Fete & Companion Dog Show.

Dare we say you’d be barking mad to miss it?!

Sunday’s event is pooch-tastic, and entries for the show will be taken on the field from 11.30am.*

If Rover is a little too cheeky to do as he is told, but still looks angelic, why not enter him into the pet photo competition instead?

Perhaps you have a beautiful bunny, a classy cat or a posing parrot...enter your pet pictures at a quid each.

If you fancy a royal rummage, head to the car boot sale, and with any leftover pennies and pounds go try your luck at the tombola and raffle.

Homemade refreshments will keep you nourished and if you want out and out entertainment, you’ll get it; Displays by the British Military Martial Arts, Diamond Theatre Group and MK Pole Fitness are all booked.

Perhaps the ‘mane’ attraction will be Layla and Lenny, the Percheron and Shetland horses, though.

All proceeds from the event will go to the welfare of the on-site animals, and if you want to see the rescue pets, ponies and farm animals, they love a cuddle, so go and say ‘hi’.

Admission is £2 per adults, £1 for accompanied children.

Hula will welcome you between midday and 4.30pm.

*Yep, the event runs from midday, but canine class can arrive that little bit earlier.
