DIGITAL marketing will be the subject of the third in a series of free Breakfast Briefings hosted by the Open University.
The OU’s Business School will hold the meeting at 8am on Wednesday, April 25.
Dr Fiona Ellis-Chadwick, a specialist in online retailing and marketing, will explore how digital marketing can help businesses in challenging trading conditions.
Digital Marketing is changing the way we communicate. During the two last decades the internet has changed from an environment only for hard-wired computer specialists into an accessible global trading and social arena for consumers of all ages.
The talk will aim to de-bunk early predictions made about how the internet might re-shape business practices, explore online trading in the current economic climate and focus on practical considerations for managing in the digital future.
Dr Ellis-Chadwick, a senior lecturer at the Business School said: “Online retailing is changing the way we shop, the things we buy and how we research for the products we want.
“Even though UK retailers are ahead of the game when it comes to developing successful online shopping operations there are still opportunities to improve online trading, especially in the current economic climate.”
