DANCER Paige Barber made her debut on the world stage last weekend in Blackpool.
Taking part in her first world championships, Paige, from Bletchley, made it through several tough rounds of competition and into the grand final.
There, she performed brilliantly and finished seventh overall.
Proud dad Chris said he was so impressed with the way she handled the occasion.
“She did brilliantly to get through to the final against some of the best dancers in the world,” he said. “It’s a great achievement and we’re so proud of her.
“She’s really pleased with herself. She dances around the house all the time.”
Dance teacher Lisa Kimberley, of Dance Company, said: “It is a massive achievement for Paige. Her performance was fabulous and we are so proud of her.”
Paige’s next big show is the Freestyle Olympics, which take place in August.
