PASSENGERS got to enjoy an early Easter treat as the Easter Eggspress rolled into town.
The train, which was decorated in a special Easter theme, pulled in to Bletchley station on Wednesday full of excited children and special guest the Easter Bunny.
He was on board giving out special Thomas the Tank Engine Easter eggs to all those who were wearing Easter bonnets or hats.
There was also a balloon modeller on hand entertaining passengers as well as a face painter turning people into Easter themed characters including chicks and bunnies.
All in all there were seven volunteers on board during the event giving out information on various forthcoming events.
They were also selling refreshments including the famous Bedfordshire clanger which is a special half sweet and half savoury pasty style creation.
Marston Vale Community Rail Partnership Officer Stephen Sleight said: “The Community Rail Partnership was delighted to arrange a special Easter holiday train for the first time.
“It was a great success with a number of families talking the opportunity to travel on the Marston Vale Line for the first time.”
