Magician Paul Daniel’s widow Debbie McGee has volunteered to be guest of honour at a charity ball in memory of a city schoolboy.
Debbie will be accompanied the late celebrity’s brother, Trevor Daniels, at the Bollywood Ball on June 11.
The event has been organised by the family of Jamie Tipler, who died last year of a brain tumour at the age of 11.
Jamie’s brave mum Julie, who has terminal cancer herself, is determined to raise cash to help her son’s dying wish come true.
The youngster wanted birthdays to be extra special for all young cancer patients spending their big day in hospital. This prompted his family to set up Jamie’s Rhythm of Life Foundation, which gives out birthday balloons and small gifts to children in local oncology wards.
The Bollywood Ball aims to raise enough cash to spread the gift scheme nationally.
The event will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton at the stadium:mk. Tickets are via jamies.rhythm of firstname.lastname@example.org or 07969 536786.
