A teenage pedestrian has spent the weekend in hospital after colliding with a car on a city road.

It happened at around 6.35pm on Saturday evening.

A silver Mazda MX5 collided with the 18-year-old on the V6 Grafton Street near to Heelands, causing her leg and arm injuries.

PC Christopher Ruvolo-Jones said: “I am appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision or were travelling along the V6 Grafton Street between Monks Way and Dansteed Way near to Heelands at that time.

“I would specifically appeal to passengers on the number five Arriva bus number 5 which was in the area at the time of the road traffic collision.
