This sofa dumped in the middle of Fishermead has resulted in a £250 penalty notice for the owner.

The sofa was dumped, along with smaller items of rubbish, by a local man in Perran Avenue.

Council officers traced him and promptly issued a £250 fixed penalty notice.

They have warned they will do this to all offenders and have asked residents to report any instances of fly-tipping in their area.
