The civic offices at CMK will be bathed in purple tonight in a gesture of solidarity with George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter campaign.

Mr Floyd was killed after being forcibly held down by police officers in Minneapolis last week and his death has sparked widespread protests and rioting in the USA.

A post mortem examination yesterday classified his death as homicide.
