A WOMAN had her mobile phone snatched from her hands as she made her way to Springfield on Saturday, May 7.

The 26-year-old was walking from the direction of Campbell Park at around 8.30am when a man appeared from behind her and stole her black Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro phone before running away with it.

The man was described as black and he was wearing a red baseball cap and a grey tracksuit with red stripes.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing to anyone who may have seen the robbery to come forward with any information.

Anyone who was in the area at the time or saw the incident is urged to call investigating officer PC Darren Applewhite on the 24-hour non-emergency line on 0845 8 505 505 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Potential witnesses who may have been offered a mobile phone that matches the description given above are also urged to come forward to police with any potentially helpful information.
