Would-be food critics have the chance to vote for their favourite place to eat with the launch of the third annual MK Food and Leisure Awards.
Foodies will be able to vote for their favourite restaurant, hotel, pub, chef, coffee shop, food, waiters and much more between now and the end of April.
Last year more than 7,000 votes were received across all categories including online and via the dedicated Twitter account.
City businesses are also at the forefront of the awards with more than 95 per cent of those who sponsored last year backing the awards again this year.
They include the Woburn Wine Company, I-Print MK, Destination MK, Costco, Savona fine foods for chefs, Illy coffee, Skyline Taxis, the MK Hoteliers Association, Pidy and the Great Branding Company.
People are invited to start voting now for their winner with the overall champion being crowned at a special awards ceremony at Jury’s Inn on May 11.
Before that a shortlist of chefs will battle it out during a live cook off on April 8 which will be judged by a Craft guide of chefs – one of which will be Phil Fanning, head chef at Paris House in Woburn.
Up and coming chefs from Milton Keynes College will also be in action creating desserts for the awards ceremony which will also be judged for the college’s own internal competition. The winner will win a trip to Belgium.
