Thames Valley Police report there have been no further incidents linked to the inquiry that saw three boys approached by a man in a transit van.
Det Insp Kelly Glister, leading the investigation into the attempted abductions, said: “I would like to thank the public for their support. Since our appeal for information last week we have received hundreds of calls with regard to this case.
“I have a team of detectives dedicated to this case and they are currently in the process of sifting through information from hundreds of calls we received following our appeal to the public last week.
“Although it may take some time, I would like to assure everyone that all information given to us will be taken seriously and fully investigated.
“In the meantime, I would advise parents to make sure they know where there children are at all times and who they are with. We would also ask parents to reinforce the general message about not talking too or taking lifts from strangers.
“We have also increased our high visibility police patrols in the areas where the incidents happened and we are working closely with the schools and our partners to keep parents informed and reassure the community.”
