Two woman have been sexually assaulted in the city in offences that are believed to be linked.

Last Sunday at around 3.40am the first victim and her friend were sitting outside the Royal Bank of Scotland in the Theatre District when they were approached by a man. The man and the two women began a conversation before the victim’s friend left.

The man then became aggressive towards the woman, 36, and exposed himself before sexually assaulting her by inappropriately touching her.

Shortly after the assault, at 3.55am, another two women saw a man of the same description while they were walking across the John Lewis car park. The man followed the women to Ramsons Avenue, Conniburrow where he inappropriately touched a 19 year old girl.

The man was described as black, 5ft5 to 5ft9, slim build, approximately 18 to 20 years old wearing a dark hoodie and dark coloured jeans.
