Police show support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community

Police officers came out in support of the International Day against Homophobia this week by flying rainbow flags and wearing rainbow laces on their shoes.

Acting chief inspector Helen Roberts said police welcomed the opportunity to support the LGBT community and eradicate hate crimes against them.

Thames Valley police run a Lesbian and Gay Liaison Officer scheme called LAGLO to offer assistance to victims.
