SOME politicians act like babies, now one is set to dress like one – all in the name of charity.
Lee Barney, who will be vying for the Walton Park ward councillor role in May, knows how lucky he is to have his six-year-old son James in his life after he was born two months prematurely.
Now he will be walking the streets dressed as a baby on Thursday, March 24, to raise money for a charity that is close to his heart.
Lee said: “BLISS, the premature baby charity, were there for us, offering us and many other families their support. It is devastating having to witness seeing the babies who didn’t make it.
“The charity is about babies so I thought I would go out delivering party leaflets dressed in just an adult diaper and shoes. This is not a party political statement so don’t let your voting preference get in the way of donating.”
