Special week of work activities

Students were cooking up plans for the future, when they rustled up a meal with Army rations in the car park at Milton 
Keynes College’s Bletchley campus.

The challenge was part of the college’s Employability Week, which saw youngsters take on a range of non-timetabled activities to give them insights into the world of work and make themselves more employable.

Visitors ranged from chefs to beauty therapists and there was an emphasis on practical experience as youngsters also learned about career options that they might not have previously considered.

Other highlights included a visit from Gareth Ellis-Unwin, best-known for producing the 2010 hit film The King’s Speech, while the head chef from Whittlebury Hall produced a seven-course tasting menu for students.
