LONG jumper Greg Rutherford wowed the country on Saturday night when he won Olympic Gold.

Since his victory Milton Keynes Citizen has been inundated with different ideas as to how the city should commemorate his achievement.

Some people have called for a roundabout to be named in his honour following BBC presenter John Inverdale’s tongue-in-cheek comments during the event, while this newspaper has floated the idea of renaming Station Square in Rutherford’s honour.

Comments on our Facebook and Twitter pages have variously suggested painting the concrete cows gold, naming the MK Don’s new Arena after him or changing the name of an existing city sporting facility, such as those at Stantonbury or the Bletchley Leisure Centre.

Milton Keynes Citizen has set up a Poll to let you vote on what you think the best option would be. It can be found to the right hand side of this story.

And if your idea isn’t listed please feel free to let us know what you think through the comments section below.
