A PUB will be calling last orders on Monday before it undergoes a £400,000 revamp which is set to create 20 new jobs.
The Furzton Lake on Shirwell Crescent will re-open on August 22 as Milton Keynes’ first Carvery Fayre and Square.
On September 3, to help celebrate the re-opening, there will be a free family fun day where the pub will be looking for a family who deserve a treat to officially open the pub.
General manager Neil Collins said: “I’m sure there are so many families within the community who are an inspiration to others through their voluntary work or who have overcome hurdles but don’t get any recognition.
“I would like to use our opening as an opportunity to say thank you by treating a family to VIP treatment including a meal on us.”
“I am also on the look out for dynamic, hard-working individuals who want to be part of our Fayre & Square family of team players at the Game Bird. “
Along with a brand new menu the pub will also be one of the first Fayre & Square pubs to offer a carvery option on its menu.
As well as opening the pub the chosen family will also go forward to a national final of the competition to crown the Fayre & Square Family of the Year.
If you would like to nominate a ‘Fayre & Square Family’ – it could be a family that do a lot for charity or are celebrating a special occasion – or if you are interested in a position at the refurbished Furzton Lake pub please contact Neil on 01908 520 200.
