The teams at The Black Horse in Woburn and The Swan at Salford have good cause to celebrate today after both smashing the current world record for the most cappuccinos made in an hour. As part of Macmillan’s ‘world’s biggest coffee morning’ on Friday last week, the resident baristas steamed up an amazing 123 cappuccinos at The Black Horse and 150 cappuccinos at The Swan between 10am and 11am on Friday morning, both therefore beating the current record of 106. All donations for the coffees are going straight to Macmillan Cancer Support and between them the two sister pubs have raised £244.50 at the last count.
Andrew Coath, owner of The Black Horse and The Swan, said: “This was the first time we’d ever attempted to do anything like this and so many neighbours and friends came down to support us; it was amazing.
“To beat the world record in both pubs was a brilliant feeling but we are most delighted with the amount we were able to raise for such a good cause, Macmillan Cancer Support.”
