THE weather may have been damp and grey but spirits were high at a special event held at Priory Rise school.
The school hosted a special presentation of its latest purchase, courtesy of the school’s Friends Association.
The long-awaited Trim Trail play equipment has been at the top of the children’s wish list for some time so an official ribbon cutting ceremony was enthusiastically welcomed.
And, as expected, they had the opportunity to be the first to give it a test run.
The Trim Trail is a specially designed adventure course encouraging children to stay fit and active at play and lunchtimes.
The children had been looking forward to the unveiling for some time.
Lisa Little, chairman of the Friends Association, said: “We are delighted to see all of our fundraising efforts paying off and it’s wonderful to have something so enthusiastically enjoyed by all of the pupils.”
