WEMBLEY is calling to enterprising students from a city school.
Oakgrove School pupils are celebrating after being crowned overall winners of the Midlands heat of the Coca-Cola Enterprises Real Business Challenge, a national competition to encourage enterprise among young people across the UK.
Six schools competed at The City Ground in Nottingham last week and Oakgrove pupils will now go on to compete in the national final at Wembley Stadium on January 25.
The Oakgrove team were awarded victory following their business plan for a campaign to encourage consumers to recycle more and litter less in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Tracie McLaughlin from Oakgrove School said: “I am extremely proud of the students.
“They worked very hard to get here and went the extra mile on the day.
“We all had a really enjoyable day and I’m absolutely delighted for them.”
The students’ poster design will now be professionally produced and displayed.
